NEW Artist Color Panel Support for Nucoda Fuse

Entry-level grading software Nucoda Fuse now supports the Avid Artist Color panel.

With increased demand for grading solutions for onset applications, boutique facilities and training and education providers, this new integrated package will allow a new generation of colourists the opportunity to access the leading Nucoda grading and finishing tools.

The combined Artist Color and Nucoda Fuse offering delivers a competitive solution, providing cost-effective DI workflows in-house with the best colour and image processing tools on the market. Like the flagship Nucoda Film Master, Nucoda Fuse is a popular choice for colourists looking for a powerful grading and FX tool that integrates into all modern file-based workflows and has unrivalled finishing capabilities especially with the DVO Convert option.

When it comes to color grading with Nucoda Fuse, using just a pen or mouse can leave you unable to fully extend the functionality of the software. With the compact, ergonomic Artist Color, you get the feel and control of high-end grading hardware at a fraction of the cost.

This partnership with Avid validates Image System’s efforts to provide customers with open solutions and the quality and flexibility of the Artist Color panel's integration makes it an interesting extension of the Nucoda experience. It matches our strategy of delivering highly professional and high quality products at an affordable price.

Support has been added in this release for the Avid 1:1 10b MXF format.

The full benefit of this new feature will be experienced by users who wish to transfer media between products using the highest quality, uncompressed RGB 4:4:4 media. This is now becoming more common place as users switch to a totally tapeless environment.

Beta version of 64-bit application now available

With the release of 2011.1 we are also making available a 64bit version of the software.

The 64-bit version gives the application access to all the memory which is installed in the system, essential when grading at 4K. This also gives huge benefits when working with memory-intensive enhancement tools such as DVO.

Note:
For our next major release that is expected to be available in October this year, customers need to be aware this will be a 64-bit only release. Moving to 64-bit will bring many advantages to the Nucoda and Phoenix software platforms, especially in terms of future feature developments. This means that customers will need to be running a 64-bit OS on their systems. If you do not currently have a 64-bit OS then contact Sales or Support for advice.
